In order to build FURY you will need a number of mechanical components of a FORD SIERRA version and IRS FORD ESCORT MK2 for LIVE AXLE. Although the ESCORT SIERRA and are relatively resistant vehicles we strongly recommend replacing the following components for the sake of your safety.
All components including the rear brake slave cylinders. ALL brakes, brake hoses: rear brake shoes, pads and discs front fuel lines. Also check: disc brakes for wear and run-out, comprehensive guide to every game (worn bushes), etc. For a reliable vehicle we recommend that you check the following: The radiator for damage (cracks), and in particular all the system cooling tubes and clips.
IN CASE OF DOUBT throw OUT Renew the fan belt. HT leads, condenser, plugs and points, etc. THE COMPLETION of your Fury have the tracking checked and set properly. Remember anger is much lighter than the donor or the Sierra Escort thus lower tire pressure will be necessary:
Try 18-20 psi to start and adjust to suit. Finally at the end of your Fury check all nuts and bolts for proper tightness (torque), before venturing on the road, and again after about 3 -4 weeks use.
SECTION TWO HANDBOOK suggest the sequence of accumulation for fury, you might want to change that, but we ask you to read this manual carefully prior to construction starting BUILD UP. . . . . You can save money and hours of your precious time!
